Mega Quarry Update |
| A mega quarry 100 km northwest of Toronto, in Melancthon Township will be built by a US hedge fund called The Baupost Group. It proposes to build the biggest open pit mine in Canadian history (200 feet below the water table) at the heart of Ontario's headwaters, affecting 60 million litres of aquifer water per day.
